And we are getting feedback congratulating the arrangements done by the police for conducting the famous Thrissur Pooram peacefully.

As many of you know, the officers of the police department is now undergoing a relocation through out the State and it is time for me too to say goodbye to Thrissur and ever-loving thrissurians. I extend my whole hearted thanks to the members of the police department, public and to all who supported and assisted me to achieve the goal set by you. I expect you to please continue supporting the members of the police.

Welcome once again to the official website of the Thrissur police. This is my first message to all of you, and I would like to convey my regards to each one of you. I have taken charge as Superintendent of Police on 10 May 2002, and am presently in the process of acquainting myself with the people and places here. Since this is my first posting in the district, I have decided to take the time to familiarize myself with the area thoroughly, in order to be able to carry out my responsibilities to the best of my ability. I am sure that I can look forward to your whole-hearted cooperation in this regard.

At the very outset, I would like to announce some of the major areas I shall be focusing on, as your Superintendent of Police. It has come to my knowledge that there are increasing instances of goondaism and other anti-social activities which are being fomented, in some instances, by vested interests. It is my firm belief that this scourge of society can be effectively tackled only by concerted and committed action on the part of the police force, effectively supported by concerned members of society. To this end, I request each one of you to assist the members of your police force by timely information about the activities of the gangs, their hideouts and motivating person behind them. Traffic accidents are also on the increase, mainly due to carelessness and over speeding. I think that with a bit of care, many of these incidents could be prevented. There are many places in the district where traffic can be improved by minor adjustments without any appreciable expense. Suggestions from the public are invited. Useful and economic suggestions will be published in this website. Also, it is the duty of concerned members of society to ensure that society is made a better and safer place to live in for future generations. I am personally convinced that a better society of the future can be evolved provided members of the senior generations take the time and effort to educate their younger counterparts about their role as responsible members of society. I aim to reach out to young members of society and play my part in laying the foundation for an active role as pillars of future society. Through this website itself, I shall be participating in interactive chat sessions with students of local educational institutions. In this way, I hope I shall be instrumental in playing my part for future generations. I invite you to send in your opinions and suggestions on all topics of concern to you where I may be able to be of assistance.

I am very happy to inform you that an information given by a well wisher of the society leads to a siezure of obscene cassattes and CDs from a cassatte library 'Akkaras' in the City. I am hopeful that such true and matter of fact responses will continue in future.
