SP's Editorials - 2002 March
02 March 2002 Dear friend, This week India faced another much-tensely situation, when more than fifty train passengers were burnt alive in Gujarat. And later it is developed in to riot and started killing people each other without mercy. Curfew is imposed in all over Gujarat. The Bharat Harthal that held last day was observed peaceful except one or two incidents. The department is alert on the situation and operating mobile patrol to monitor the situation. It is our experience that such sensitive situations are being exploited by some anti-social elements to add fuel to fire. We consider your emotional feelings, but at the same time we expect you to keep patience. If you need any assistance, please call in the following telephone numbers. 1. Office: +91- 487-361000 (+fax) 2. Residence: +91- 487- 361600 3. Control room: 100 Let me take your attention to the counterfeit currency notes. Recently we seized some fake notes from Mathilakam. It is our knowledge that many people still use currency note without noticing whether it is fake or original. There are a lot of security measures to identify a currency note to check for original. So next time onwards makes sure that you are using original notes. We are receiving many mails from the NRIs, requesting help to their family live here. I promise our whole-hearted support to you. 30 March 2002 Dear Visitor, I extend my best wishes to each one of you for a safe and happy Holi, and for the Easter weekend. The festival season in Kerala is heading towards a close, and exam-time is on us. It is time for each of our student friends out there to concentrate on their studies, and make every effort to do well in their exams. Remember, hard work at studies never did anyone any harm, and these successes every year go a long way in creating a bright future for each one of us. For those other Internet visitors who have been sending responses and feedback messages, I would like to request all of you to take a few minutes and respond to a survey we have made up, with a view to improving the utility and quality of the site. Your responses to this survey will definitely help us in our efforts towards better police-people relations.
