I hope all of you had a very happy and prosperous New Year.

This week we conducted many raids through out the district to stop the flow of illicit liquor and drunken drive. In another raids conducted we were able to cease Ganja and other drugs in three different cases by the Town East Police under the Circle Inspector M.J.Mathew and Sub-Inspector M.J.Sojan. The police is extending further enquiry for the rest of the people involved in this drug-mafia. I expect all of you to co-operate with us and keep us informed in case of emergency.

The traffic accidents in the district highways are tending to increase now-a-days. We have started a new patrolling team for monitoring the over speeds and other violations. The life is precious so do not play with it.

As a precaution against violence, the district will observe restrictions for conducting processions and such gatherings for a limited period. Special permission should be needed for such functions.

Please make use of the ‘Bulletin Board’ to express your views on a particular issue.

When I recollect last year, it is observed that Thrissur sustained the peace through out. I personally believe that this website is helped to bridge the communication gap between the police and public. I expect this should be maintained in the future also and share your problems with us. I would like to remind you that please do not give importance to the rumours about the department and try to understand the motivation behind such exploitation.

The responses shows that newly started Sabarimala Section was well received by the pilgrims to Sabarimala. The much-awaited holy moment for the pilgrims to Sabarimala ‘The Makara Vilakku’ is coming forth.

I would like to remind you that, during these festivals the elephants having violent nature should not be included in the procession. The improper behavior of the mahouts under the influence of alcohol should completely be stopped.
